In our sixth grade social studies class, students learn about a civilization which in this case was Mesopotamia. They then choose their job roles which include Movie Producer, Chef, Archeologist, Musician, and many more. They make projects based off of their job roles. Movie producers make a movie. Chefs make a home cooking show and Architects make buildings. Cartographers make a tours that explain about the trade and travel of the civilization. The Webpage Designers make a website, while the musicians make a song reflecting the civilization's culture. A Geologist makes a game and an Archeologist remakes artifacts. Authors get to create their own book about the government and social classes. Another job is the App Creator who creates and app. And astronomer learns about the astronomy and Transportation makes a design of what they used in that civilization for transportation.
